Willa Mae Nixon Nobles, 94, formerly of Beaumont, died in Houston on June 3, 2008. She was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, on February 12, 1914, daughter of John and Kate Nixon. Willa Mae lived many years in Beaumont before moving to Houston to be near her
She is survived by her two daughters, Jo Storey and husband Arthur L. Storey, Jr. and Jacqueline Helms and husband Don W. Helms. Also surviving are five grandchildren and their spouses, Dr. Michael Storey and wife Mitzi, Judge Linda Storey, Sabrina Helms Katz and husband Steve, Nicole Helms, Danielle Helms Graham and husband Robert, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services are planned for 11:30 Thursday, June 5th, at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4955 Pine Street, Beaumont. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank Fuller of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
