Will left school at an early age to work with his father in timber cutting in the Central Texas area around Bastrop, Texas. After working in road maintenance for Bastrop County, he moved to the Houston area in the early 1970’s and was employed in furniture delivery and warehousing for Star Furniture and Sunniland Furniture in Houston, and in the express delivery business as an independent contractor.
