Maria Magdalena "Elena" Buezo De Sosa, 77, passed away in Houston on October 1, 2017. She was born on July 22, 1940 in Guatemala to Martín Buezo and Carlota Landaverry De Buezo.
She is survived by her 9 children, Hernan Gamaliel Sosa (& Gladys Sosa), Jorge H. Sosa & (Isabel Ortega), Elsa Guerra (& Horacio Carrera), Carlos Guillermo Sosa (& Norma Sosa), Ana Maria Sosa (& Tod Schadren), Juan Antonio Sosa, Hugo Rolando Sosa (& Karina Lagos), Alma Prefontaine(& Tim Prefontaine), and Bonerges Ulises Sosa; 19 grandchildren, Alex Sosa, Hernan Sosa, Jorge H. Sosa Jr., Carlos Humberto Sosa, Joseph Sosa, Juan Carlos Guerra (& Tabitha Guerra), Jorge Manuel Guerra, Marie Williamson (& Keegan Williamson), Catherine Sosa, Carlos Sosa Jr., Analy Schadren, Michelle Schadren, Christian Rolando Sosa, Kamila Sosa, Brandon Prefontaine, Isabella Prefontaine, Ryan Prefontaine, Stephanie Sosa, and Joshua Daniel; 8 great-grandchildren, Juliana Sosa, Jonathan Sosa, Elizabeth Sosa, Rosale Sosa, Penelope Guerra, Jack Guerra, Olivia Guerra, and Piper Williamson; brothers, Rafael Buezo, Carlos Buezo, Hector Buezo, Tino Buezo; and sisters, Teresa Buezo, Emma Buezo, and Concepción Buezo.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jorge Humberto Sosa, two of her brothers, Jose Luis Buezo and Salomon Buezo, and her parents.
Services will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church (13350 Ashford Point Dr. Houston, TX 77082) with viewing/visitation at 10:30 AM and mass at 11:30 AM.
