Robbye Wright Pickett

Robbye Wright Pickett was born in Nashville, Tennessee on September 9, 1933 to Roy F. and Margaret D. Wright and answered our Lord's call home Sunday, August 23, 2015.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years, Walter Pickett; her sister Brenda Putman (Barrie Putman); her children, son Kevin Pickett (Deb Akers) and her daughter Sarah Reno (Jeff Reno), daughter Kimberly Maulin (Terry Maulin) and their children; Brittany Alford, Hunter Alford, Jocelyn Litton, Tara Maulin, Cameron Maulin and Caleb Maulin, daughter Karen Pickett and her children; Jessica Bailey (Ben Karpen), Caitlin Havins (Wim Beresford), Blake Havins and their father Jimmie Havins. She also leaves behind a great grandson Liam Beresford (October 2015) and Laura Pickett.

Robbye attended David Lipscomb College in Nashville. She and Walter married April 1964 and got to Texas as quickly as Walter would drive stopping only for young Kevin to puke as he got ill en route.

Pallbearers are Gerald Aldredge Jr., Ron Edmundson, John Petzold, Rod Jones, Blake Havins & Hunter Alford.

Visitation is Wednesday, August 26 from 7-8:30 pm at Beresford Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday August 27, 10:00 am also at Beresford Funeral Home followed by burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
