On September 22, 2018 at 2:50am, Sharon Lopez Symeonidis experienced the falling asleep at the age of 68. Sharon was born on June 1,1950 in Houston Texas to parents Elias Lopez and Consuelo Martinez Lopez. Growing up on the East End, she attended Franklin Elementary, Edison Middle School and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. Fiercely proud of her Hispanic heritage, Sharon ALWAYS had a love and passion for Latin dance like no other. For her, music and dance were essential to every birthday, holiday, and celebration. She was a beautiful, head strong warrior all the days of her life and will be remembered as passionate about God, dance, friends and family. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother Consuelo and father Lee. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Steve Symeonidis, daughter Paresa Santini, son in law Claudio Santini, son Stathi Symeonidis, sister Linda Lee Lopez, grandson Alessio Elias Santini, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A wake will be held at St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church located at 1100 Eldridge Parkway, Houston, TX 77077 at 6:30 pm sharp on Thursday Sept 27, 2018. Church Service to be held at St. Basil’s as well at 10:00am Friday, Sept 28. Burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery located at 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, TX 77023.
