In Memory of
William Hewitt Miracle
-

William Hewitt Miracle, 82, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023. Bill was born on June 14, 1941, to Max Walter and Anita Kelso Miracle in Houston, Texas.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Max Walter and Anita, and brother Meredith. He is survived by his three daughters, Mary Elise Miracle Schwartz and husband John; Amy Miracle Turboff and husband Andy; Holly Miracle Molina and husband Johnny; his grandchildren, Jackson Conner Schwartz, William Hamilton Turboff, Abigail Elizabeth Molina, and Andrew John Molina. Bill is also survived by his former wife, Mary Musgrove Miracle.

After graduating from Lamar High School in 1959, Bill attended The University of Texas and later completed his studies at The University of Houston. One of the first companies he worked for was Merrill Lynch. Bill enjoyed living in New York for a brief time while completing training for his stockbroker license. After working as a stockbroker for several years, he began working in the oil and gas industry. He had a fulfilling career in this field which gave him an excuse to wear cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.

Bill was very proud of his daughters and his grandchildren. He enjoyed coaching his daughters'  little league softball teams and taught many of their friends how to water ski. Bill was proud to cheer for the many activities for his grandchildren; sporting events, dance recitals and school productions. Bill loved to play golf and cook. On any given Sunday, you could find him smoking a brisket and preparing dinner for his family. He was active for many years at Chapelwood United Methodist Church.

The family would like to thank Clarissa Woods and her staff at Colonial Oaks First Colony Assisted Living for the loving and wonderful care he received. Bill spent his time over the last 2 years greeting visitors in the lobby and singing Elvis songs with his friends. A memorial service in honor of his life will be held on Friday, July 21st at 1 pm in the Chapel at Chapelwood United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Bill to the Alzheimer's Association, or the charity of your choice.
