Betty Lou Ello, 89, passed away on May 17, 2026 in Richmond, Texas. She was born on December 1, 1936 in Mercedes, Texas to James Watson Mallow & La June (Lee) Mallow Green.
She is survived by her son, James Michael (Mike) Ello & wife Catherine (Cat); daughter, Heidi Lynn Griesheimer; brother, Edward Green & wife Cheryl; sister, Sherry Peck & husband Richard; grandchildren, Ivan, Joshua & wife Lara, David & wife Sharon; and Isaac, twins Micah & Rebekah, and Abigail & husband Taylor; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and Extended Family, Betty’s devoted caregiver Eunice and husband Tomás for the last two years; and last but not least, her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, SnookerPucker.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Peter Ello; her daughter, Rebecca Paulette Ello; her stepfather, Cecil Green, and her parents.
Services are being scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church with the Visitation starting at 9:30am and the Funeral Service beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Florida Chapel Cemetery (265 Florida Chapel Rd. Round Top, Texas 78954) at 1:30pm.
