Donna Marie VanMeter, age 84, passed away on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. While our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord she loved so dearly.
Donna was the heart of her family and devoted her life to caring for those she loved. She lovingly raised and cared for her children, helped care for her grandchildren as they grew up, and selflessly looked after her mother. Her family was always her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She adored her pets and treasured the time she spent with her great-grandchildren. One of her greatest joys was playing video games every week with her great-grandson, creating memories that will be cherished forever. She also loved holding her great-granddaughter close and spoiling her with all the love only a great-grandmother could give.
Donna had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed life's simple pleasures. She was a devoted Elvis fan, loved fishing, karaoke and never passed up a good, scary movie. And she loved her soap operas! She also enjoyed fancy dinners, memorable trips, and cruises with those she loved.
A true fighter, Donna courageously battled and defeated cancer multiple times throughout her life. Her strength, resilience, and determination inspired everyone who knew her. Through every challenge, she faced life with grace, faith, and an unwavering love for her family.
Donna had a gift for making people feel loved. There was rarely a person who met her who didn't immediately fall in love with her warm personality. Her beautiful smile could light up any room, and her laughter was contagious. She brought joy wherever she went and leaves behind countless memories filled with love, laughter, and kindness.
As a God-fearing woman, Donna's faith guided her throughout her life. Though she leaves behind a void that can never truly be filled, her family finds peace in knowing that she has been welcomed into Heaven. We take comfort in imagining her waiting for us at those pearly gates, greeting us with the same loving smile that brightened our lives for so many years.
Donna will be dearly missed every day until we are reunited with her again. Her love, strength, faith, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
"Well done, good and faithful servant."
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.
She is survived by her 3 children, Clint Forester & Barbara Boone, Dyna Pickle & husband Mark, and Bruce Karger; grandchildren, Kristin, Justin, Courtney, twins Clint & Christopher, Brandon, and Marshall; and 9 great-grandchildren.
