In Memory of
Mark Timothy Marantica
-

It is with profound sadness, we announce the death of Mark Timothy Marantica on April 28, 2026.  Sadness is felt by all those he left behind, but our grief is comforted knowing he is sitting at the feet of his Savior, playing his guitar and singing in worship.  Those of us who know Christ and love Mark are holding on to the joy of the assurance we will be joining him and singing along someday.

Mark was a man of integrity, great faith, and had a deep and committed love for his family and his friends.  He will be remembered for his warm and genuine smile; love of people, and the optimism he carried all the way to the end.

Mark graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Baylor University, a school which he was an avid supporter and fan of throughout his adult life, before returning to Houston. Professionally, he gave 20 years of dedicated service to IntelaTrac in software sales and consulting, earning the deep respect and affection of countless clients and coworkers alike.

Mark had just turned 50 years old when he passed, and is survived by his wife, Heather; children Sage and Skye; stepchildren, Kristyn and Kyle; his mother, Linda; his sister, Farida; his brother Philip; his 4 nieces Relie, Lyndia, Leina, and Helena; and his 2 nephews, Austin and Gideon. He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Daniel.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held on July 25, 2026, at 10:00 am.

My heart is so heavy reading Mark’s obituary. It still doesn’t feel real that someone so full of life, faith, and warmth is no longer here with us. Mark was the kind of person who made every moment lighter and every room warmer. I feel incredibly grateful to have walked through life knowing him, even for a little while.

I can picture him now exactly as he would want to be remembered — guitar in hand, smiling that easy, genuine smile, worshiping without pain or limitation. That image brings me comfort, even as the loss hits so deeply.

To Heather, Sage, Skye, and the whole family: Please know that my heart is with you. His legacy lives on not only in the memories you share but in the countless lives he touched with his honesty, grace, and unwavering optimism. His kindness, his humor, his faith — those are gifts he shared generously, and they’ll stay with all of us who were blessed enough to call him a friend.

He will also be remembered. May God’s comfort surround you in the days ahead, and may the promise of reunion bring peace to your hearts.

My heart goes out to Mark's family and everyone who was blessed to have known him. He was such a great guy and one of my fav coworkers. I still remember the first time I met him at an event and the inside jokes that started and continued from there. No doubt heaven got an amazing addition to entertain from above. Miss you dearly, Mark!

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that I mourn the passing of my dear colleague and friend. His departure leaves a void that will not easily be filled.

Mark was an exceptional individual—dedicated, kind-hearted, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His professionalism, integrity, and positive spirit inspired me always. Beyond his work, he will be remembered for his warmth, humility, and the genuine connections he built with each of us.

Working alongside Mark was not just a professional experience, but a privilege. Mark's presence brought encouragement, laughter, and a sense of unity to our team.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort in the love and memories shared.

Though Mark is no longer with us, his legacy will continue to live on my thoughts and cherish the beautiful moments we shared between us from 2012 onwards.

Rest in peace Brother. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Mark was an amazing person, respected and admired by his colleagues and peers. Although I only had the opportunity to work with him briefly, his warmth, kindness, and genuine passion for his work stood out. He was a valued colleague, and he will be deeply missed.
