Ann Marie Ward passed into eternal live on Thursday April 24,2020 at the wonderful age of 90.

Services will be postponed due to Covid-19 and will be announced at a later date.

Ann M. Bell was born Oct. 3, 1929 to Isaac and Josephine Bell in Toledo, Ohio. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Houston, TX where she was a true servant to her God and volunteered on a regular basis including making sandwiches every week to help feed Houston’s hungry.

She is preceded in death by Parents Ike and Jo Bell, siblings Lewis Bell, Daniel (Buddy) Bell and Alice LeBlanc and Alice’s sons George and Robert. Also preceded by husbands Thomas A. Briers and William E. Ward. She is likewise preceded by daughter Bette J. Briers, son David A. Briers and step son Tommie Briers. Also by several beloved cats.

Ann is survived by her children Andrea L. Briers, Lewis D. Briers and wife Maggie and also her step sons Lee, Terry, Denver Briers and daughter-in-law Jerri Briers.

She was Grandmother to Ken Shell and wife Gena, Arthur Whitman and wife Tressa, Andrew Whitman and wife Tricia, Jacque Kahn and husband Zeeshan , David  Briers Jr. ,Thomas Briers and partner Ashley, Marcus Teel and wife Jenny. Ann was blessed with 15 greatgrandchildren, one greatgreatchild and two nieces. Other survivors include her many friends and church family.

Ann was a terrific cook and loved to make family favorites as well as a few “experimental” meals for friends and family. It is the family’s wish that any desired donations be made to the Emergency Aid Coalition.
