In Memory of
Bobbie Faye Dodd Anderson
-

Bobbie Faye Dodd Anderson was born on January 13, 1933, in Sealy, Texas to Lecy and Ed Dodd. She grew up on the Chesterville prairie and was married to Jay Anderson for 66 years. She thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their children. She loved her family, friends and the church and said countless times how incredibly blessed she was.

Faye came to faith in Christ when she was 37 years old and never looked back. From that time forward, she embraced Jesus with her whole heart. She was involved in Christian ministry to many teens and adults, including The Upper Room Coffeehouse and Bookstore and Community Bible Study. Later, Design 3 provided opportunities to pursue interior decorating, floral arrangement and picture framing interests. Faye was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and never missed an opportunity to encourage those around her. Her love for Christ and spiritual influence on her children and grandchildren is undeniable.

In 2004 she and Jay moved to Cypress to be near their daughter. In 2017 she moved to Lakeway, Texas, where she passed away on January 10, 2022, due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Jay Anderson, Sr., her parents, brothers and sisters L.D. McCollum, Mary Semora, Letha Crenshaw, Leeda Pryor, Neal Britton, and Jack Dodd, and her grandchild, Eve DeLaughter.

Faye is survived by her children and their spouses: Cynthia and Dennis DeLaughter, Sharon and Paul Ragsdale, and Milton and Deme Anderson. Grandchildren and their spouses include Ray and Aimee DeLaughter, Rachel and Jeff Bosworth, Jason and London Webb, Cindy and Rett Rabe, Kristen Jackson, Lindsay and Nellie Kelly, Sterling and Angelina Anderson and Wesley and Courtney Anderson. Great-grandchildren include Ethan, Reagan and Carsyn DeLaughter; Jordyn, Erin, Devon and Hudson Bosworth; Zoey Ferguson and Rylee Webb; Jake and Ben Rabe; Victoria and Justice Jackson; Everly and Brooks Kelly; and Rosalee Anderson. She is also survived by a sister, Gay Anderson, as well as by many extended family members and friends.

Graveside Service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, Texas.

Dear Cynthia, Sharon, Milton, and all grandchildren and great grandchildren of Faye; My deepest condolences. I'm sorry that I'll miss her final gathering in the celebration of the life she lived. I'll never forget the gatherings Uncle Jay and Aunt Faye hosted at their house in Chesterville. Aunt Faye was always gracious and shown with the light of her faith, passing her love for God to all within her vicinity. May her example of life pass to all who loved and knew her. With God's blessings, Janet
