Carol Dorsey Forloine

Carol Dorsey Forloine, beloved Mother, MomMom. Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend, changed her address and moved to heaven on July 14, 2022.

Carol was born a coal miners daughter August 22, 1938 in House #43 in the bottoms at Boomer, WVA to Joseph Clarence Dorsey and Annie May Livesay. She was the 5th daughter, born with a twin---the only boy in this coal mining/farming family.

She attended Boomer Elementary for 1st and 2nd grade. Then the family moved to Lockwood, WVA, where she had the pleasure of attending 2 different one room schoolhouses. The first was Lyon Creek Elementary for 3rd grade, then Dorsey Elementary for 4th-8th. Then on she went to Nicholas County High School, where she graduated in 1955.

Carol married in 1956 and moved to Texas, then to New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and then back to Texas, where she lived for 46 years.

She worked for many years at Sears Catalog store, then Foleys Department Store until she retired in the year 2000.

She enjoyed singing in her church choir, participating in senior outings and game days, and time with her family and friends.

She is survived by sons Timothy Forloine of Baltimore, MD, Steve Forloine of Lockwood, WVA and daughter Shari Kuiken of Frisco, Texas as well as 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sister Beulah Summers of Peters Creek, WVA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Rose, Ruby and Junie, brother Carl and daughter Donna Shaddox.

After her service on July 22 at Westway Baptist Church in Houston, Carol will be taken back to the hills to her beloved West Virginia for Services on July 30 at White Funeral Home, Summersville; followed by burial at Miller Cemetary, Kesslers Cross Lane.
