In Memory of
Christy L. Corb
-

Christy Lane Corb was born in Houston, TX on August 14, 1952.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Coons and Olga Vanderdoes as well as her father in law, Jack Sidney Corb.

Christy is survived by her husband, Al Corb, her three children Niki, Sherri, and Jonathan, and their spouses; grandchildren Dustyn, Jordan, Caleb, Sydney, Cooper, and Tenley.  Her brother Mike Strother, sister Sandy Walston.  Christy had a large extended family and was surrounded with love.

Christy loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart.  She loved her family dearly.  Christy’s passions included serving in the church bell choir, quilting, calligraphy, scrapbooking, gardening, and bird watching.

Christy’s battle began in 2010 when lymphoma was found in her lungs.  Her battle ended in 2013 when she beat cancer.  Christy continued to struggle with medical issues until February 2019, when the doctors felt that they could no longer help her.  In the following times, Christy was blessed by many loved ones coming to her home and sharing God’s love through singing, prayers, meals, and time spent with loved ones.  Christy fought the good fight never wavering in her faith and has won her battle.  She went to be with Jesus on July 1, 2019, in her home surrounded by her family.  We look forward to praising with Christy in Christ’s presence someday.

A funeral is planned for Friday July 5, 2019 at 10AM at New Hope United Methodist Church in Waller, Texas followed by burial in the adjacent Fields Store Cemetery.

We love this family. We grieve with you. Looking forward to sharing eternity with Christy! So grateful that Christy wanted some time away from Corb’s Auto and allowed our two daughters to work for a gracious boss.
