In Memory of
Dwane Carl Gale
-

Dwane Carl Gale, affectionately known as “Pops,” passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on June 26, 1936, in Amarillo, Texas, to Carl Fox Gale and Loveta Parker Gale. Dwane was a proud graduate of Brownwood High School, class of 1954 and from there, went on to earn his Bachelors degree in accounting from Howard Payne University, Dwane dedicated much of his life to his work with Permian Corporation. In 1972, his work brought him to Houston, where raised his family and remained over the following 50 + years. Beyond his career and family, Dwane was a man of deep faith and daily reader of his Bible and devotional material. He was known for his selflessness, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Dwane enjoyed reading and was both a history buff and numbers guy. Dwane was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Loveta, his brothers, Billy Fred  "Speedy" Gale and Kenneth Gale, his wife Merlene and his granddaughter, Jessica Post. Dwane is survived by his children, James Gale (Carolann), LeAnn Allfrey (Wally) and Kristi Gale, along with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His legacy of compassion and devotion to his loved ones will live on through them. Pops’ passing leaves an emptiness in those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Duane's Christmas cards were always the first card of the season to arrive. I always felt special that he would include me and my family in his card giving.
My dad, Carroll Parker, thought a lot about his favorite cousin. Dad always enjoyed his phone conversations with Dwayne and wished they would have lived closer so they could visit in person. Our sympathy goes out to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren they had a wonderful "Pops".
