In Memory of
Edward Marcus Chisholm
-

Edward Marcus Chisholm left this world Wednesday night with his wife and daughter by his side. In the days preceding his death, he was surrounded by his family and very close friends.

Ed was born in Houston Texas on May 11, 1949 as the youngest of three children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Estelle Chisholm; sister Sally Chisholm and brother David Chisholm.

Ed attended Ben Milam Elementary, George Washington Jr. High and John H. Reagan High School(s). He excelled in athletics as a young man, setting state swimming records and qualifying for the US Olympic Swim Team. He was accepted to Rice University and had an avid interest in computer programming taking the first courses offered in Texas. He ultimately chose taking over the family business started by his father. Ed owned and operated J & L Sheet Metal Company. He excelled in the fabrication trade and was well respected by engineers architects and fellow tradesmen. He was a member and former President of the American Institute of Plant Engineers.

Ed was a devoted husband to Jackie, loving father to his daughter Chantel, and his four sons Ben, James, Shane and Clint. Doting grandfather and great grandfather, he loved, protected, and encouraged his family; cherishing his children, and grandchildren. Ed served his family, friends and community, treating everyone with honesty and integrity. His life has been a stellar example of love, grace and kindness. His passing is lamented by all who knew him. He will be sorrowfully missed.

A celebration of his life and church service will be held on Monday December 18th at Our Savior Lutheran Church at 5000 Tidwell Rd Houston, TX 77091 at 11:00am. Visitation is open for one hour prior to services. All are welcome.
