FRANK J. GLADE, 84 of Houston, passed away Tuesday, October, 9, 2012 after a four year battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Frank was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 10, 1928 to Frank H. Glade and Susan L. (Kimmich) Glade. A graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, he also served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Frank retired from Shell Oil Company many years ago.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy Flaherty and his daughter, Cindy (Glade) Jones.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 26 years, Alice Striebeck Glade; sons Danny Glade and Scott Striebeck; daughters Kathy (Glade) Clark and Jamie Striebeck; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with two who are on the way.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at 9:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 1801 Sage, Houston, TX, 77056 with a mass to follow. The interment will be private.
The family would like to express a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. Suzanne Lasek-Nesselquist and to Compassionate Care Hospice.
The family also requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
