James Gary Allcorn (Gary)
Gary, born on January 11th, 1954 passed away on October 29th, 2019. Gary leaves behind friends and family members who loved him dearly. Many, through Gary’s unconditional care and kindness for others, learned to better understand life’s true values. Gary, having medical challenges throughout most of his adult life refused to focus on himself but often sought to know how others were, how they felt and if they were doing well. Gary was brave in the way he faced the many personal challenges in his life and never appeared to question his plight. By the many handwritten notations made in his personal book of life, the King James Version mind you, Gary knew that his disability here on earth was barely worth the focus but rather he knew that one day he would achieve the greatest gift of all. By example, Gary reinforced in others that for those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they too would win the real prize, eternal life full of happiness and without sadness or pain. As one family member put it, “He was the sweetest, kindest soul. Rest in peace”. Gary is at peace now. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Gary is survived by seven siblings, Danny Allcorn, Kathy Breaux, Dean Allcorn, Cherie Hallmark, Mary Johnson, John Allcorn and Marvin Allcorn
Gary is preceded in death by his parents Mary Alice and Forrest Rutherford Allcorn Jr. and two siblings, Dianne Moss and Rodney Allcorn
