You're wings we're ready but our heart's we're not. We love you always. You are truly missed. Get your rest❤❤

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong
Loving husband, father, and son, Ivan (Junior) Dewar passed away in the early morning hours on 7 March 2023. He was enveloped in the love and presence and prayers of his Millie, wife of 50 years, and his motherLurline.
While he will be missed by all who knew and loved him, they all take solace in the way he lived life to the fullest, enjoying every experience with verve and gusto. His infectiously charismatic smile and jovial “wahappen” will remind all that there were never any strangers in his presence.
Ivan is survived by his mother Lurline; the love of his life, Millie; daughters: Sophia, Luchana, Chriscia; son Nicholas; grandchildren: Avion, Onoray III, Chance, Averi, Cameron, Stephon Xavier, Kirstin, and Vyson; great grandchildren: Hayden, Marley, Onoray IV, Olivia, Zuri, and Olahni; siblings: Claire, Barry, and Phillip; and countless nieces and nephews.
Ivan will be honored from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on 25 March 2023 at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, 5510 W. Sam Houston Pkwy North, Houston, Texas 77041. A 1 p.m. burial will follow directly at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas 77077.
