Mr. Jerry was the original Netflix; The Bible in 52 weeks… good luck! ;) (there’s a real chance Jesus chuckled at that)

Jerry George Yandell met his Savior face-to-face on July 15, 2025.
Born on July 10, 1953, in Waco, Texas, Jerry lived a full life rooted on the two things most important to him: faith and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alecia, who he was married to for 43 years. He deeply loved his children — John, James, and Emily — and especially cherished both teaching and spoiling his five grandchildren: Abigail, Nathan, Sophie, Cameron, and Oliver.
Jerry spent most of his career as a mortgage loan officer with Wells Fargo, where he was recognized upon his retirement after 28 years of exemplary service. He also served faithfully as
A man of deep faith, Jerry never failed to help someone in their need. He was fully confident in the promise that awaited him: eternity with his Savior, free from pain. His unwavering faith in Jesus was passed down to each of his children and this very faith is the source of comfort for his family now.
Known for his sharp mind, wit, and sense of humor, Jerry loved passing on his knowledge of just about anything. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman. If he wasn’t at the pool, you could find him in one of the 20 Texas state parks he visited frequently throughout his life. He and Alecia once spent over 180 days camping in a single year.
Described as a “true family man," Jerry gave all that he had to bring joy, wisdom, and love to those around him. He will be deeply missed.
All are invited to join his family for a celebration of his life and legacy on Saturday, July 26 at 10AM at New Day Church, 3615 Mangum Road, Houston, Texas 77092.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the Lottie Moon missions offering to support missionaries around the world.
