Johnie Robert Messer Jr. of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at the age of 63. He endured his cancer courageously and left this world on March 10th, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was born on August 30, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia to Johnie Robert Messer and Sarah Ann Messer.
Johnie was also known as Bob, John, or Bobby J. He loved to make people smile with his impressions of popeye, and taught himself how to play the harmonica, it sounded wonderful. Whatever he did he always did it well, he was a hard worker at his home and job, always organized. He loved to keep plants on his patio, and would always take great care of them. God has him in his arms we have him in our hearts he will be forever missed and loved.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Monica. His children Johnie the 3rd, Thomas, Brittany, Ashley, and Jeremiah. His grandchidren Promise, Cayden, Adriana, Caleb, and Madeline. His father Johnie, brother Kenneth, aunt Irene, his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sarah.
A private Memorial service was held at Oak Lake Baptist for his intermediate family only.

John will be missed so very much. i met him and his loving family in September 1998. john is a wonderful person inside and outside always kind and respectful. We will miss u john.
