Juanita Mary Fitzgerald passed into the Lord's loving arms on January 15th, 2022 after celebrating life on this earth for 100 years.
She was born in Lawtell, Louisiana on the 13th of January in 1922 to Mr. and Mrs. L.Guidry but the family soon moved to West Monroe, Louisiana where she spent her childhood. Her smile was her known trademark, lighting up every room she entered withpositive energy and a love for life that couldn't be ignored. Her love for cruising the oceans with her sisters was one of her earlier passions and her dedication to a healthy lifestyle and in her God as a member of St. Annes Catholic church steadied her throughout her lifetime.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Peter D. Fitzgerald, her parents and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Peter T. Fitzgerald and wife Claudia (Houston, Texas), and her daughter Kelly Anzilotti and partner Kevin Coffman (Houston, Texas), her brother Wilbert (Bubba) Guidry and wife Connie (Katy, Texas), along with her four grandchildren: Victoria S. Fitzgerald, Morgan Johnson and partner Stefanie Swagerty, Michael Anzilotti, Marissa Anzilotti, and her two great-grandchildren Elise Johnson and Clara Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Brookdale Memorial Oaks, as well as Highland Hospice and Burley's Home Healthcare for their loving care of Mom this past year.
A mass of Christian burial will take place at twelve o'clock 26 January 2022 at Saint Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas. Father Wayne Wilkerson will officiate.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, Houston, Texas 77056.
