Judy Virginia Wollgast Robinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Virginia Wollgast Robinson of Waller, Texas, at the age of 83 on September 25, 2024, in Katy, Texas. She was born on August 13, 1941 in Hempstead, Texas to Wallace W. Wollgast and Katie M. Jahn Wollgast.  

Judy was married to her beloved husband, George Robinson, for 60 years, who passed away two days later on September 27, 2024. She is survived by her son, Clinton Robinson; stepdaughters Roxanne Bean and Rhonda Robinson; her only sibling, Ann Sorsby, and husband Walter; niece Kim Ingram and husband Gerald; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Katie M. Jahn Wollgast, and nephew, Kelly Cromeans.

Judy was born in Hempstead, TX, and resided in Waller, TX. She graduated from Waller High School (Class of 1960). She met her husband, George Robinson, in 1962, and they were married on December 24, 1963, at the United Methodist Church in Waller. She worked as an electronic data processor at Great Southern Life Insurance Company for 17 years. After her son was born, she dedicated her time to his upbringing, school activities and church. She also worked at the Waller County Historical Museum, for the Waller County Elections Office, and at Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet. Her hobbies included sewing, baking, genealogy, and historical research. She faithfully attended and volunteered at the United Methodist Church since 1953. She loved supporting her church family as well as the community.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Grace Global Methodist Church, 1206 Smith Street, Waller, TX 77484. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the Service at 11:00 am with Reverend Cathy Beasley officiating. Judy’s final resting place will be at Fields Store Cemetery, 26104 Schneider Rd., Waller, TX. Pallbearers:  Gerald Ingram, Stephen Long, Garrett Vinson, Asson Marchabeyoglu, Tim LaBruyere, Jack Beasley, Roger Andersen.  Honorary Pallbearer:  Walter Sorsby.  The family would like to thank her Pastor, Reverend Cathy Beasley, members of her church, and her friends for their support. A special thank you to her best friend, Emma Heath, and her husband, Marcus.  Donations may be made in her name to Grace Global Methodist Church in lieu of flowers (at the address above).
