Maged Suliman

Maged Suliman, 67, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center following complications from a cardiac arrest, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on March 7, 1959, in Cairo, Egypt, Maged was the beloved son of Farouk and Mary Suliman. He spent the first fifteen years of his life in Egypt before immigrating to the United States with his family in 1974. Maged eventually made Sugar Land, Texas his home, where Maged built a life rooted in faith, family, and service.

For more than three decades, Maged dedicated his career to Memorial Hermann, serving as a Senior Desktop Solutions Specialist. He was respected by colleagues for his unwavering work ethic, humility, and genuine kindness. His commitment to helping others, both professionally and personally, left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

While he found great fulfillment in his work, Maged’s greatest joys were found outside the office. He was a man of deep Christian faith who cherished time in prayer and faithfully lived out his beliefs through quiet acts of love, compassion, and generosity. Above all, he treasured his family. Whether sharing a meal, celebrating milestones, or simply enjoying time together, Maged’s greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those he loved.

Maged was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, caring son and brother, and faithful friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Mona Suliman; his three children, Dr. Monica Suliman and her husband, Robert, of League City, Texas; Mitchell Suliman and his wife, Joy, of Corona, California; and Marsha Suliman of Rockwall, Texas. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Nathan, Naomi, Nessa, and Noah, who brought immeasurable joy to his life, as well as his siblings, Mohab Suliman and Faten Guirguis. His legacy of faith, love, humility, and devotion to family will continue to live on through them.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026. A Coptic Orthodox Prayer Service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Saint Mary & Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church in Houston, Texas. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. Family and friends are then invited to gather for a memorial celebration of Maged’s life at Faith Sugar Land Church at 4:00 p.m.

The Suliman family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support they have received during this difficult time. They extend their heartfelt appreciation to the physicians, nurses, and staff of Memorial Hermann, who compassionately cared for Maged—one of their own—in his final days. Their kindness and dedication brought comfort to both Maged and his family and will never be forgotten.

Lastly, the Suliman family extends its deepest gratitude to the Faith Lutheran Sugar Land Church family—a community that has been such an integral part of their lives—for the countless prayers, unwavering love, and steadfast support shown during this difficult season.
