In Memory of
Margie Lindsay Capron
-

Two roads diverged in a wood and

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

Most people knew MARGIE LINDSAY CAPRON, 57, simply as a teacher....but that one word does not begin to describe the exceptional friend, mother, mentor, or woman that she was.

She was a devoted and inspirational role model to both teachrs and colleagues as well as students everywhere for more than 30 years. Margie had a phenomenal impact on thousands of students; many of whom later entered science occupations because of her encouragement. She trained at Welder Wildlife Refuge and was a recognized and honored member of numerous science organizations. She taught at both Cypress Fairbanks I.S.D and Sheldon I.S.D. Margie also had the vision to create the Living Materials Center of Cy-Fair I.S.D. that brought the "life" of science to thousands of young people and served as their first director.

For the last 7 years, after her diagnosis of cancer, she continually surprised us all with her determination and ability to live life to the fullest no matter what the obstacles. In addition to her great love of science she was also an avid motorcycle rider, ballroom dancer, gardener, telescope builder and most recently, the owner of a herd of dairy goats.

Sadly Margie was not graced with a body that could keep up with her boundless spirit and left it behind to pursue loftier goals on August 19, 2006.

She will always be loved and remembered by her daughter, Heather (Serret Jensen) and Heather's father, Darrell Lindsay, her brother John Farquhar, her husband Larry Capron and the many people touched by her inspiration. We are all thankful to have known her and the world is an exponentially better place for her having been a part of it.

Visitation will be Thursday August 24, 2006 from 6-9pm at Beresford Funeral Home, 13501 Alief-Clodine, Houston, TX 77083. (281)933-9090.
