Visitation is from 10 to 11 AM and the funeral will begin at 11 AM.  The burial will follow at the San Felipe Community Cemetery. The address is 4846 Front St., San Felipe, TX 77473. The repast will follow the interment. The address is 640 Travis St., Sealy, TX 77474.  The funeral service will be streamed live through TCWW.

Growing up, Mario always believed in himself and his capabilities.  He radiated in self-confidence and superior athleticism while attending Sealy High school and college near Austin, TX.  He was a talented football player and showcased his hard work by assisting his team in winning championship football games.  Hard work was his motto. Mario did not believe in luck.  He believed in creating his own destiny and trusting in God instead of waiting for things to happen.

Mario was a man of faith and enjoyed being a member of The Church with Walls. Mario actually met his wife Tawana Camacho at the Queenston campus. He prayed daily for a woman of God, beautiful in heart, filled with love, and a humble spirit. Mario was leaving the 10:00 am service and Tawana was attending the 11:00 am service when they passed ways in the church parking lot. Mario had an instantaneous attraction to her and new that God had chosen her to be his wife.  They began dating and fell in love. Mario and Tawana later married on New Year’s Eve in 2014 and had three children together.  Mario continued to pray for Tawana and his children until he died. He was a hands-on father and had a remarkable relationship with each of his children. He was never judgmental, and he was playful in nature. Mario often referred to his children as “Ugly or Blacky” instead of calling them by their names. He strived to make their life easier by loving them, caring for them, and blessing them as the scripture teaches.

Mario found peace in reading his bible and saturated himself in gospel music throughout the day and at night.   He believed playing sermons and gospel music while sleeping rebuked negative thoughts and kept his mind pure and on Jesus. The gospel brilliantly cultivated his spirituality and made him feel closer to God. Mario was an old soul and appreciated the blues as well. When he was not blasting gospel music, he loved listening to artist such as T. K. Soul and Sir Charles. Mario often used songs as a way to express his emotions regarding love, sadness, happiness, and serenity.

Mario was a force of nature with his capable ways and brilliant mind. He owned a barbershop for several years and worked as a traveling barber.  He was passionate about barbering, and he always had an amazing time at work.  It allowed him to socialize, network, and generate innovative styles. Mario was proud of his ability to groom others and improve their physical appearances.   He believed a nice haircut and a shave enhanced people’s attitude, character, and self-confidence. He would continuously say, “When you look good you feel good.” Mario made sure to look good every day.  He was always clean, tidy, and well dressed. Mario believed in taking everything to the dry cleaners.

Driving throughout the city was one of Mario’s favorite pastimes. He found riding relaxing and continuously planned weekend road trips to Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio.  He also made many good memories by traveling to places outside of Texas such as St. Louis, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Mario always looked forward to exploring new cultures while spending time with his family.

Mario loved his family dearly and did not spend time with anyone who was not related to him. He had many childhood friends, but his greatest joy came from his family. Mario was extremely loyal and generous.  He made time to show up for everyone who reached out.  His main goal was to counsel and brighten lives. Mario’s infectious laugh, playful nature, and enthusiastic manner always inspired others. People often went to Mario for advice and everyone loved to be around him. Mario was known as the life of the party. Mario LaQuinta Tremaine Tarver was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.  He touched the lives of so many people.  He will be truly missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.
