In Memory of
Nancy Kathleen Sedloff
-

Nancy Kathleen Sedloff, of Houston, Texas, passed away at the age of 72 after a courageous battle against cancer on October 8, 2021 in Houston. She was born on September 21, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to George K. Norton and Lucille S. Norton.

Nancy was born into a military family and lived many places growing up. She graduated High School in Georgia and moved to Upstate New York for college. Nancy lived in Florida for a brief time before settling in the Houston area. Her dream of having children came true in 1982 with the birth of Laura followed by Julie in 1986. Nancy then found the love of her life; Robert when he joined their family. Robert and Nancy were strongly committed and inseparable. They spent a majority of their relationship working together as well. As much as she loved being a mom, being a grandma brought her unmeasurable joy. All that knew Nancy knew she had the most giving heart and would do anything for anyone. She was also a strong leader which helped her excel in her personal and professional life. On October 8th, Nancy was fully healed and restored when she joined her Lord and Savior. She will be missed by so many that knew and loved her; but the legacy she leaves behind will live on.

Nancy is survived by: Robert Sedloff, husband of 35 years. Children: Laura Warren of Cypress, TX and husband Russell, Julie Girtman of Spring, TX and husband Brock. Grandchildren: Alexander Warren, Riley Girtman, Andrew Girtman, Olivia Warren, Owen Warren and Anthony Girtman. Sister: Ruth Rogers. Step-Brother: Wayne Eames. Step mother: Virgie Norton. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by: Parents: George K. Norton and Lucille S. Norton. Brother: George M. Norton. Step Brothers: Charlie and Stevie Eames.

Services will be held on October 19, 2021 at The Chapel in the Woods-The Woodlands Church. (Please use Gosling Entrance)

Visitation will be from 3 pm to 4 pm and the Service will begin at 4 pm. Officiated by Pastor Conn McWhorter.

Please join the family afterwards at Herrera’s Mexican Restaurant in The Woodlands at 5:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to send donations towards The Wounded Warrior Project. This charity was dear to her heart for a long time.

The family wants to thank her Oncology Team at Houston Methodist Hospital for their kindness and care the last few years.

Thinking of you all , sorry I can’t be there …

So glad the Norton - now families - have been in my life since 1961-62 at Wilmore, Ky … many memories; Nancy was a huge part and will be missed.

I have always loved my cousins and Nancy is going to be missed. I was very grateful that she chose to reunite with our family in recent years. I choose to remember all of the good times that we had as teens and trust that her family lets all of the good memories help to heal the hole in their hearts.
