In Memory of
Patricia Louise Pollard Pierrard
-

Patricia Louise Pollard Pierrard, age 96, was born on September 18th, 1926 in Royse City, Texas and passed away in Houston, Texas on May 23rd, 2023.

Patricia, who was known as ‘Pat’ to her friends and ‘Grammy’ to her immediate family was a very sweet and loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who dedicated her life to making all of her family members feel happy and loved.

Patricia was the youngest of 11 children, 9 of whom lived to adulthood, and she was the last surviving child of Cary Allen Pollard and Nancy T. Edwards Pollard.  When Pat was very young, she moved with her parents and several of her younger siblings to Levelland, Texas where she spent a very happy childhood.  When Pat had two years left of high school her parents and older sister moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where Pat graduated from Amon Carter High School in 1945. A few years later while working in a clerical capacity at Westinghouse Pat met the love of her life, William (Bill) Pierrard, on a blind date set up by friends.  After a short courtship Pat and Bill were married on November 25th, 1948.  Eventually Pat and Bill settled in Richardson, Texas where they raised their only daughter, Catherine (Cathy).  Although Pat did not enjoy cooking, she did master the art of baking with her specialties including apple pie, chocolate chip cookies, fudge and a famously delicious pecan pie.  Pat also was a connoisseur of all types of chocolate candy.  After forty years of living in Richardson, in 2005, Pat and Bill moved to Houston, Texas to be near their daughter and her family.  Pat and Bill were married over 67 years before Bill passed away in 2016.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Catherine A. Pierrard Linden, son-in-law, Peter N. Linden Jr., three grandchildren, Peter N. (Nick) Linden III, Michelle M. Watson, and Michael R. Linden.  Pat is also survived by Nick’s wife, Caressa A. Linden, and two great grandchildren, Nathan T. Linden and Courtney A. Linden.  A special thanks to Caressa who was a great comfort and ever present help to ‘Grammy’ in her final days.   In addition, Pat leaves several nieces and nephews scattered all over the United States.  Pat was especially fond of niece, Carol Keahi, of El Segundo, California who made sure ‘Aunt Pat’ was supplied with her favorite Mrs. See’s candy and other goodies to celebrate many different occasions throughout the year.  Pat also treasured receiving numerous letters and cards from many other sweet and caring nephews and nieces including Gary Pollard, Judy Larmer, Susan Unsworth, Bobby Pierrard, Jesse Pierrard and Lynn Todd.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Reach Unlimited c/o Michael Linden, 11832 Mueller Cemetery Rd. Cypress, Texas 77429.

Aunt Pat was my father’s brother’s wife. I’ve known her all my life.

Aunt Pat was a sweetheart. Her kind and pleasant demeanor will always be in my mind. She and Uncle Bud are together and resting comfortably.

Cousin Cathy and family, you are in my prayers and thoughts.
