Paul James Buchanan

Paul James Buchanan, 79, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, 20 August 2013 at Houston Hospice, Houston, Texas. Paul was born May 1, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Ruth and Emmitte Buchanan. He was a graduate of Baylor University. Paul's energetic, compassionate and hard working personality made him a memorable figure to all who knew him, especially his co-workers at Lott Marketing/Acosta. Paul was in the food brokerage business nearly all of his adult life. God's grace was very real to Paul and he paid it forward-regardless of who they were.

While family and friends of Paul will miss him greatly, he is rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Paul is survived by his two brothers: Gerald (wife Mary), and Bobby. Memorial services for Paul will be held at Second Baptist Church, at 6400 Woodway Drive, Houston, Texas, in the Hankamer Chapel on 24 August 2013 at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Second Baptist (Woodway) for its food bank ministry.
