In Memory of
Sebron Albert Collins
-

Sebron (C.B.) Collins, 58, passed away on July 2, 2022 in Spring, Texas. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 2, 1963 to Gordon Benny Collins and Albertine (Neel) Collins.

C.B loved big trucks, heavy equipment, cooking, and gardening. As a Master Gardener he could make anything grow and would often take “cuttings” from plants anywhere he would go. He enjoyed making his yard beautiful and had the best green thumb in town. He shared his passion for gardening with his daughter, and his love of big trucks with his son! He loved to tell stories of being on the road and all his many adventures. He spent a great many years operating heavy equipment to build subdivisions and roadways in the greater Houston area. He also had two very successful landscaping businesses and enjoyed creating the blueprints and beautifying yards!

Most of all, he loved his family! He showed pride in, and appreciation of his wife of 41 years, his 2 children, and 5 grandchildren. He had a special place in his heart for his son-in-law Henry, and daughter-in-law Kristin. He would call us just to say, “I love you” and made sure we all knew it.  We will greatly miss his daily phone calls and how he enjoyed the simple things in life like “Sonic Ice” and a good pillow.

Although he physically struggled for many years with numerous health issues, he always woke up and went to bed in prayer. He loved the Lord with all his heart and often talked about Heaven!

He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie (Bass) Collins of Spring, Texas; his son, Chad Collins & wife Kristin of Waller, Texas; his daughter, Renee’ Stokes & husband Henry of Shenandoah, Texas; and his 5 grandchildren, Grayson Collins, Kolby Karsteter, and Jacob, Gracie, and Laura Stokes; his brother, Ron Freeman & wife Janice; and his sister, Sheila Forster Lucia; and numerous sisters-inlaws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gordon Benny Collins; his mother, Albertine Hutchison; his stepfather, Marvin Hutchison, and his beloved dog, Daisy, who was his FAVORITE daughter and ate WAY too many snacks.

A special verse that reminds us of him is 2 Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

Services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Spring First Church (1851 Spring Cypress Rd. Spring, TX 77388). Visitation will begin at 10:00 am. and the funeral at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at 1:00 pm at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery (13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060).
