In Memory of
Vicki Pairgin
-

Vicki Pairgin came into this world on July 20th, 1946 and left it to join our Heavenly Father on May 10th, 2018  She was a fearless warrior in the battle against lung cancer and never stopped fighting for another precious day of life.

Vicki’s successful and lengthy career in the banking industry spanned over 40 years.  Once retired, she was fortunate to work part time doing what she loved most - antiquing. Vicki was a loving and supportive mother, a gentle and kind mimi, a loyal and loving sister, and a true friend to those who were lucky enough to know her.  Everything Vicki did, she did with great passion and with a determination to succeed - including fighting for her life.

Vicki was born to the late Raymond and Violet Davis in Columbus Ohio.  She is survived by her daughter Brandy Hallbeck and husband James, grandchildren Kendall Reese Hallbeck, Ryan David Hallbeck, Jordan Nicole Hallbeck and Tanner Christian Hallbeck; sisters Susan McCoskey and husband Gary, Regina Skiles and husband Martin, Babette Weathersby and husband Bill, and brother Ray Davis Jr.

Vicki’s Viewing is Tuesday 6-8 PM at Beresford Funeral Home, 13501 Alief-Codine, her Graveside Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Klein Memorial Park off FM 2920 in Tomball, TX, and the Reception will immediately follow at Gianna Italian Kitchen located at 28301 TX-249 #100 Tomball, TX 77375.  We encourage you to celebrate her life and the countless lives she touched along the way.

Vicki was an amazingly classy, strong and loving woman. Over the Almost twenty years that I had the privilege to get to know her our relationship only blossomed with each passing year. When my Mom passed away in 2011, Vicki was right there by my side and took me in as her own son. One of my best memories was her telling me one day that she couldn't have dreamed or created a better son than me. It touched my heart deeply and I was so grateful for the love she showed me. Even during her battle with cancer she sent me this message on Easter.... "Happy Easter son Love U". We had an incredible relationship and even when she was in her darkest moments she always took time to make sure I knew how much she loved and appreciated me.
As I sit here in deep thought typing this message looking back over these last twenty years.... The deep hurt in my heart fills my eyes with tears. My mother-in-law, Mom and friend is gone and I am already missing her.

They say God sends people into your life for a reason. Over eighteen years ago I returned home to Houston to start a new life. I was managing a family business when I met Vicki. She was a frequent customer. Because of her genuine friendly personality, we immediately connected. We shared similar life experiences , and as a result, she became my new best friend, mentor and trusted advisor. When my brother decided to sell his business, I contemplated assuming the lease and starting my own business. Vicki was my inspiration. She not only encouraged me but even got me my first business loan from her bank where she was employed. I remember the day she hand delivered the loan and said, "Hey girl, I got you that loan!" She then became a part time employee and an excellent one at that. Her work ethics were amazing. Always reliable, except if there was a storm! LOL! She became my "go to friend " who I could talk to about anything. The Sunday before she passed, she smiled at me and said, "I am at peace and ready to go home." I miss her already.
