Robert Vernon Jordan (“Bob”) went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 2, 2026. He was 95 years old.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Laura, granddaughters, Jennifer (William) Watson and Jaime (Gary) Colby, and his great-granddaughters, Anna, Rachel, Allie, Abigail, and Rebecca. Robert was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Helen, his brother, Charles, and his sister, Evelyn.
Robert was born in Dallas, Texas on November 4, 1930. He and Helen were married on September 4, 1948. They spent most of their married life in Southern California. Robert worked for Kraft Foods for nearly 30 years, and was consistently one of their top salesmen, earning him several awards and accolades. He enjoyed golfing and had the privilege of playing at several famous courses including Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines.
Above all, Robert loved Jesus and he shared the good news of the gospel with countless people throughout his life. He served in many of the churches he attended, as a deacon, a Sunday schoolteacher, and song leader.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Robert’s memory to Westside Baptist Church, 3883 Lakes of Bridgewater Drive, Katy, Texas 77449.
