Betty Jean Miller, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and great-grandmother, was surrounded by family when she went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 15, 2024. She was born on March 21, 1933 in Houston, Texas to John and Annie Mae Peterson and was one of nine children.
Betty found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A lover of games, she delighted in playing with family. She was an avid reader, crossword puzzle officinato and could frequently be found playingher handheld pocket poker game. Betty enjoyed sharing a meal with her family and never passed up dessert.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Leroy and five of her children: Brenda, Debbie, Thomas Jr., Terri, and Ernie. Betty is survived by her daughter Linda Royce, and her husband Ray; her siblings Ann, Charles, Mary, Elaine, Roy, Rose and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are scheduled for Thursday December 26th in the chapel of Beresford Funeral Service. Visitation starts at 11am and the funeral at noon. She will be laid to rest with husband and son at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038) at 2:00pm
