Eric Ryan Guidry was born on May 2, 1988, to parents Cheryl Guidry and Jerry L. Guidry Jr. in Corpus Christi, Texas. He departed this Earth on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the age of 35 years old.
Eric will be remembered as a kind young man with a tender heart and an eagerness to help others in need. He was full of life and loved to laugh at even the corniest joke. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Eric enjoyed karate and baseball as a child and loved heavy metal and rock music. He really enjoyed cheering on the Texans and the Astros.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl Guidry; father and stepmother, Jerry and Marla Guidry; older brother Christopher Guidry; stepbrothers Jason Ross and Jeremy Ross; stepsisters Rebecca Keezer, Kelcey Acosta and Katie Usry; beloved companion, Bugsy; grandmothers Jean Harget and Beatrice Guidry; aunts and uncles Misty Harget Wagner, Gene Wagner, Kenny Guidry, Michelle Guidry, Craig Guidry, Sherry Guidry; nephews Trevor, Gavin and Skyler; nieces Madison and Zoey; and numerous cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandfathers CJ Harget and Jerry Guidry Sr.; and 2 uncles on his mother’s side.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at Beresford Funeral Service from 11:00am to 1:00pm.

Well, Eric left us too soon and will be sorely missed. I will always remember his contagious laughter, welcoming smile and tender heart. There's a permanent hole in my heart that can never be filled. Your light lives on in me, precious one.
He was such a loving UNKY to my 4 children, Always loved to give the best hugs, He will truly be missed by many of his family and friends, We will all see him again he is flying high watching over us with smiles and laughter. I love you so much Eric best UNKY ever

To Unk I was Maddy Moo, anytime I’d see him he’d say “Maddy Mooo” with a big smile on his face as I jumped into his arms and he’d carry me spinning me around. Id like to always remember those moments, and all though they came less often as time passed, Ive thought about them more than I ever have within the past months. The night he passed after distracting myself from it all day, I forced myself to stay up and watch The Nightmare Before Christmas, being his favorite movie. The next day I put on my Nightmare before Christmas shirt and it reminded me of when I first tried it on and showed him and all i could remember was his big smile. A couple weeks ago we went to the mall, Nightmare before Christmas things we’re everywhere, I knew it was him saying he was there with us.
March 27th I couldn’t stop thinking about him so i text, “Thinking about you, Love and miss you so much have a good day”, as he replies “Your so sweet baby girl . I love you to. Think about all 4 of yall every day. Hey dont have a good day have a great day” and every single day I remember, to not have a good day but to have a great day.
