Ghassan Hage, 57, died in Houston, Texas on January 20, 2017, his 57th birthday.  He was born on January 20, 1960 in Lebanon.

He is survived by his mother, Nadia Abouchedid Hage; brother, Samir Hage; sisters, Suha Hage, Maha Hage Reynolds, Sana Hajj Alameddine & husband Adnan; nephew, Ibrahim Alameddine & wife Rasha; niece, Dina Hammoud & husband Malek; and great-nephews, Karim & Talia Hammoud, and Dany Alameddine.   He is preceded in death by his father, Chaouki Hage.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at St. George Orthodox Church (5311 Mercer St, Houston, TX 77005), with visitation and viewing at 11 am, the funeral at noon, and burial to follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

My family and I have known Ghassan Hage for 35 years, and think of the entire Hage family as part of ours. Ghassan was an exceptional and loving man who would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. As the saying goes, "You only know who your true friends are in the darkest of times," and Ghassan was the embodiment of a true friend. RIP Ghassan, you are forever loved and never forgotten.
