In Memory of
Jerry Michael Wiley
-

Jerry Michael Wiley, April 25, 1944 – January 14, 2008. Survived by his son Kenneth Ward Wiley, father Kenneth Ward, sister, Diane Patton and nephew, Richie Cook. Preceded in death by his mother Juanita Ward. Jerry has gone to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness. He will be remembered for his smile – he nearly always had one. Special recognition of his life-long friend Jim Bush for his caring and support throughout his illness.

Matthew 6:9-14
After this manner, therefore pray ye:
Our Father, which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.

Psalm 23:1-6
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil, my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Kenny, Ken and Diane, my sincere condolences for your loss. I'm so thankful that Jerry has gone to be with the Lord and is no longer suffering. I'm so proud of Kenny for all the efforts over the last two years caring for his dad. He is a fine man; his dad was proud of him too and told me many times. Kenny is his legacy and I can't think of a finer one.

Sending my very sincere condolences to Kenny and to the rest of Jerry's family. For me, my 'Uncle' Jerry was always able to put a smile on my face. He will be missed so much, but he is in a good place and out of pain.

I send condolences to Kenny and the rest of Jerry's family. I know he will be missed a lot...Capt Jim Bush and I spent a lot of time around Jerry over the years and I think what I remember the most about Jerry was his laugh, his smile, his sense of adventure and his crisp way of dressing. Jerry left no rock unturned and had a passion for living life to the fullest...May you rest in peace Jerry.

I have been in Houston for the past year and a half and have been closely related to Kenny's dedication to his Dad. He has been very instrumental in leading his Dad to
a relationship with Our Lord and I truly feel that Kenny is the one who is directly responsible for Jerry's heavenly home. I don't of course know Jerry's other friends whom I feel also had a part. My thanks to them.
My daughter Jackie deserves a special thanks, had it not been for her love and dedication for Kenny, he couldn't have cared for Jerry in the manner that he has. When Kenny
was too busy to go visit his Dad, Jackie would take over
and see to it that Jerry would have his favorite chocolate covered cherries.. At Thanksgiving and Christmas
Jackie always fixed special meals for Jerry and they stayed with him while he devoured every bite..
I'm thankful that Jerry won't have to suffer any longer, and I'm sure his father, sister and other family members
are thankful as well.. Love, Kenny's Nana and Jackie's
Mom..

We have many memories of good times in years past with Jerry. We met when we all lived in the same townhome complex. He was gregarious, fun loving, and up for almost anything. He had a real zest for living and enjoyed everything life had to offer. He was truly blessed to have Kenny for his son. Kenny has been there to meet Jerry's needs these last two difficult years of illness. We are glad his suffering has finally come to an end. May his soul, and all the souls, of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

IT HAD BE A FEW YEARS SINCE I SAW JERRY, BUT TWO WEEKS AGO JIM AND I WENT TO SEE HIM. HE WAS STILL SHARP AND REMEMBERED, AND OF COURSE, HE STILL HAD HIS SENSE OF HUMOR.
I HAVE SOME GREAT MEMORIED OF JERRY. ONE OF MY FAVORITE WAS THE TIME HE CAME TO THE FARM AND MY DAD COOKED JERRY A STEAK HE WOULD NEVER FORGET BECAUSE IT WAS AS BIG AS JERRY. JERRY'S EXPRESSION WAS PRICELESS, BUT THERE HE SAT WITH A FORK AND BUTCHER KNIFE IN HAND READY TO DIVE IN. HE CAME TO WITH JIM TO SEE JASON GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE IN ALPINE. WHAT A TIME WE ALL HAD.
MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYER ARE WITH THE FAMILY.
JERRY, MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY THE PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON YOU.
GOD BLESS
