Kerry Brown Charles

On Wednesday, March 30, 2011, God called His angel home to receive his wings and bask in the glory of Heaven. Kerry Brown Charles, Jr. was born in Rayne, Louisiana, but grew up in Houston, Texas where he graduated from Alief Hastings High School in 1992. While there, he became known for his skills on the football field, as well as his amazing gift of bringing laughter wherever he went. Kerry joined the United States Air Force in 1996. During his 14 year tenure, he diligently worked his way up to the rank of Technical Sergeant while earning the admiration and respect of colleagues. Mr. Charles served each and every day of his military career with honor and pride. From giving tough love to his airmen to giving tender love to his family, Kerry (affectionately known as 'Dunebuggie') was a man of unparalleled character and integrity, and of unequaled measure. His memories will be forever cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Essa; two children through marriage, Erra and Eyan, two biological children, Mirikle and Kerry III and their mother Jenny; his parents Kerry Sr. and SueEllen Cornelius; several brothers, sisters, and other extended family and friends.
