In Memory of
Larry James Bass

Larry James Bass, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9th, while at home with his family in Houston, Texas.  Son of Loren Orvel Bass, Jr. and Josie Viola Walker of Yale, Oklahoma, Larry was a quick-witted, loving sole, a loyal husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.  

Larry enjoyed fine jazz music and was an avid trumpet player.  He loved hunting and the outdoors.  

Larry and Ernestine Bass were very proud of their son, Scott Emery Bass.  Larry later married Margaret Josephine Bass 41 years ago and was blessed with two step-daughters, Dawn Catherine Spreeman-Heine and Faith Elizabeth Wagner.  

Larry is survived by son, Scott, his wife, Carol Marie Bass, his grandchildren, Kimberly Danielle DeLaFosse, her husband David Taylor DeLaFosse, Sarah Emri Bass, Stephen Scott Bass, great grandchildren Conner Jacob DeLaFosse (11) and Tessa Storm DeLaFosse (9), step daughter Dawn, granddaughter, Hailey Rae Spreeman (20), step-daughter Faith and granddaughter, Shelby Jo Wagner (18).  Larry is also survived by nephew Charles Leon Bass Jr. and nieces, Laura Olga Bass, Samantha A. Bass and Vicki Jean Bass, and his many friends.

A celebration of life will be announced in the coming weeks in honor of Larry and his life.  May he rest in eternal peace.
