Maria Briseno Valdez, 78, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Houston, Texas. She was born on May 3, 1947, in Elsa, Texas, to Anastacio Briseno and Maria Alaniz.
Maria was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt who loved her family deeply. She will be remembered for her kind heart, quiet strength, and the love she shared with everyone around her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Valdez, and her daughter, Monica Valdez.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 24, 2025, in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service from 11AM to 1PM. The Graveside Service will follow at 2PM at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
Maria will be deeply missed and forever loved by her family and friends.

is survived by her niece, Maria Briseno, and husband, Daniel Garces; her brother, Juan Briseno, and wife, Marina; her sisters, Maria Guadalupe Briseno Rodriquez and husband, Manuel, and Ana Ayala; and many other nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Valdez, and her daughter, Monica Valdez.
