Souad Bitar passed away on her 87th birthday, December 4, 2021 in Houston, Texas. She was born on December 4, 1934 in Lebanon to Chikri and Ameena Eid.
She is survived by her 5 children, Mona Hamzo & husband George, George Bitar & wife Hoda, Joumana Bitar, Joseph Bitar, and Pauline Bitar; 5 grandchildren, Maria Saliba, Leila Sayegh, Pierre Kobrossly, Laure Hamzo, and Marysue Bitar; 5 great-grandchildren, Elias, Sophia, Cecelia, Olivia, and Lucia; 3 brothers, and
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elias Bitar; and her parents.
Services will be on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church (11935 Bellfort Village Dr, Houston, TX 77031) beginning with visitation at 6, the Rosary at 6:30, and mass at 7pm, followed by a Mercy Meal. Burial will be on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 10 am at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery (12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church.
