Terry Alan McCoin

Terry Alan McCoin, 72, passed away in his home on June 22, 2026. He was born in Houston, Texas in 1954.

 After graduation from MacArthur High School, he enlisted in the US Army serving in Korea as a Vietnamese Language Interpreter. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and Sharpshooter (Rifle) awards while serving. He also received his pilot license and enjoyed flying and scuba diving as well as being an avid dog lover.

 He was preceded in death by his parents Harold McCoin and Clarice McCoin, his brothers Gary McCoin, Barry McCoin and infant brother Larry McCoin.

 He is survived by his sisters Linda McCoin Michka, Sharon McCoin Hodges, and brother Curtis McCoin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife, Carol Sheldon, whose enduring friendship and companionship remained an important part of his life.

 A service to honor Terry's life will be held at the United City Church, 19901 Townsen Blvd., Humble, Texas, 77338 at 1 PM on 23 July 2026.

 The service at the Houston National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
