In Memory of

-

Dr. Robert McRee Battle passed away peacefully in West Houston on Thursday, the 17th of June, 2021. He was 87 years old.

He is survived by his life partner, Cecilia,  his siblings, Nancy Battle and Jeff Battle (Jackie); his children, Amelia Lantz (Jim), Brian Battle (Corinne), Mara De Luan (Jean), Barry Battle (Heidi) and Brad Battle  (Tina). He was ‘Poppy’ to 17 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Burton McRee Battle (father), Agnes Frances Walker Battle  (mother)  and Burton Edward Battle (son).

Bob was born on July 23, 1933 in Marshall, Texas. He served this great country on a tour of duty in Germany during the Korean  War. Upon return, Bob went on to finish his undergraduate studies at Rice University in Houston. He completed his MD at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Bob was very passionate about his patients and helping them improve their health so he spent much of his spare time researching, studying, learning new methods and techniques to cure his patients. Outside of medicine, Bob enjoyed being outdoors, his gardens, bird watching and deepening his Catholic faith. Bob was always lively and if you met him, you would have known it as he was fully engaged in all his interactions. He will be greatly missed.

Dr. Battle was truly blessed with the gift of healing. Whenever I visited over the past 11 years, I knew I was always going to receive a remedy that worked.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants." Psalms 116:15
He will be missed by his patients and family.

I have affectionately referred to Dr. Battle as my favorite, "Medicine Man"//"Healer". I have great respect for Western Medicine, but I was in real trouble in late 2006 (with my health in decline) and not getting the answers and direction I needed from my current Doctors. By word of mouth (at God's intervention), an acquaintance of mine suggested that Dr. Battle might help me. In the first visit, Dr. Battle told me what he thought was going on and recommended immediate dietary change...I saw a dramatic improvement in the next few days, and with Dr. Battle's guidance, I cleaned up my dietary habits and implemented other lifestyle changes. His understanding of the HUMAN BODY was amazing. He lead his staff to create a high level of professionalism, and honored his clients with the best medical/health services. Such an interesting personality and delightful man to know. Cecilia and Family, my condolences and prayers go out to each of you.

We worked alongside Dr. Battle for over 15 years providing respiratory equipment for his patients. We saw firsthand how many lives he touched. He will be missed. Our condolences to his family, friends, his staff and his many patients. Revelation 21:4 Bryan & Scott

Bob was one of my personal physicians, a fellow pilot and a wonderful person. I regret not knowing of his passing in the past because I was trying to reconnect with him but all of the phone numbers I had for him were out of service. I flew with him in the Brazosport Flying Club of Lake Jackson. I will regret not knowing him more recently.
