Annie Carolyn Edwards Spurlock, 83, of Humble, TX went to be with the Lord on August 9th, 2020.
Carolyn was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 27, 1937. She graduated from Humes High School 1957. She lived in Houston, TX in the mid 1960's until she moved to Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex where she made her home for over 40 years.
Carolyn was married to James Elton Spurlock on January 25, 1974. They were married 30 years.
Carolyn worked for the Salvation Army ARC for over 40 years. As a young lady, she was a member of the Salvation Army Church and a Volunteer. She enjoyed singing, reading her Bible, and serving the Lord.
Carolyn is survived by two daughters: Zynell Stafford Cortina and Tina Sam & husband, Ambrose; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, James Spurlock; parents, Annie Mabel Hall of Memphis, TN and Fred Lee Edwards of Red Banks, MS; sister, Bobbie Fish; brothers, Dean Edwards and Jerry Edwards (infant).
Graveside burial will follow at a later date TBD at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery to be with her loving husband.

Carolyn was the most LOVING COUSIN I ever had. She LOVED taking care of Children as much as SHE LOVED anything. SHE held me between her legs and rolled my hair with Bobby-pins. My hair stayed CURLY from that day on until I lost it all just a few years ago. I LOVE YOU CAROLYN ❤️❤️❤️???
