Ayodeji Olawale Abiola, affectionately known to many as “Ay -WeOutside”, was born on October 4, 1984, in Osan-Sami, Oke Ado Area Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, to Olufunmilayo Abiola and Lateef Adedeji Yinusa Abiola. Ayo grew up surrounded by love and family, later settling in Houston, Texas, where he built a life full of meaning, joy, and deep relationships.
Ayodeji is survived by his spouse, Brittney Smith-Abiola; children, Aria Fry, Ayla Fry, and Fayola Fe’yisola Abiola; mother, Olufunmilayo Abiola; sisters, Olubukola Oladokun and Taiwo,
Tolani Abiola and Tolulope Olurinde, and Olayinka Fariyike and Mayowa.
He is preceded by his father, Adedeji Yinusa Abiola.
Ayo was a devoted husband and a proud father to three beautiful daughters. He was also a cherished son and a beloved brother to his three sisters. Family was at the heart of everything he did,
and he poured his energy, laughter, and love into every moment he spent with them.
A successful businessman, Ayo brought passion and determination to his work, but it was his personality that left the most lasting impression. With a big heart and a bigger smile, he had a unique ability to make everyone feel seen, supported, and uplifted. He was the life of the party—always cracking jokes, lifting spirits, and making people laugh even in the toughest moments. He had a way of diffusing tension with humor and grace; even when someone upset him, he would smile and find a way to turn the moment into a joke, never holding on to anger.
Ayodeji enjoyed being around people. He thrived in the company of family and friends, and he brought light into every room he entered. He was someone who would always check in to make sure you were okay—and go out of his way to help if you weren’t.
Above all, Ayodeji was a loving son, a devoted husband, a caring brother, and an exceptional father. His presence was a gift to all who knew him, and his absence leaves a deep and irreplaceable void. He will be missed more than words can express.
