With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Brittany Nicole Cutshall on May 18, 2026, at the age of 38.
Born on August 21, 1987, in Tomball, Texas, Brittany was a remarkable woman whose warmth, kindness and sweet, innocent smile touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She possessed a gentle spirit and a compassionate heart. Her unwavering love, generosity and strength left a lasting impression on her family, friends, colleagues and patients.
After graduating from Cy-Ridge High School in 2006 she attended Lone Star College and Chamberlain Nursing School.
Brittany dedicated 13 years of her life to serving others as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as a registered nurse. She began her career in nursing at the CyFair Hospital in the Mother Baby unit. Since 2019, she was part of the Houston Methodist Willowbrook Mother Baby Family. She cared deeply for those entrusted to her and approached her profession with compassion, empathy and selflessness.
Above all else, Brittany cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Daniel Atabala. Her greatest joy was her three beautiful daughters: Carlie Grace Cutshall, Natalie Christine Cutshall, and Olivia Nicole Atabala. They were the center of her world, and she loved them with every part of her being. We cannot forget, Chloe, the family dog and sidekick.
Brittany was blessed to maintain a close and loving relationship with her children's grandparents, Mary-Margret Cutshall and Gary Cutshall, (MiMi and PaPa) whose love, friendship, support, and presence in her life meant so much to her over the years.
She is also survived by her grandmother, Victoria Smith; her parents, Kimberly Ayala and Gary Williams; her younger sister, Kirstin Ayala and half-brother, Zachary Campbell.
Brittany loved spending time at the beach, where she found peace, happiness and a sense of freedom. Whether surrounded by family, dancing with Daniel and the kids, caring for her patients or helping someone in need, she lived her life with an open heart.
We will miss her voice, her smile, her laughter and her presence. But most of all, we carry her love with us every day. Brittany was deeply loved and will be in our hearts forever.
Forever our Brittany.
