Carmen Julia Lebron LaSalle, 77 years of age of Tomball, Texas went to Heaven on Friday, August 7, 2020.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14th, 2020 at 5:30 pm at the Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery. A graveside ceremony will take place post burial.  

Carmen was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on November 6th, 1942. She moved to Brooklyn, New York as a young girl in her early teens.

Carmen met and married Carmelo LaSalle (Deceased), originally from Santurce, Puerto Rico and had two children, Silvia V. Gatrell and David A. LaSalle. Their spouses are Gary L. Gatrell and Kathy LaSalle.

Carmen is survived by her brother Julio E. Lebron and his son, Benjamin B. Lebron and four grandchildren, Kimberly A. LaSalle, Danae Puckett, Sophia J. Gatrell and Ava M. Gatrell.

Carmen, faithful mother, also worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and other caretaker professions. Though she was a solitary person she was an excellent caretaker for anyone in need, within or outside of her family. She loved to laugh and read science fiction books. A true powerhouse of a woman who endured many hardships throughout her life and was able to because of the strong heart given to her by God. Though she struggled, she managed to provide for and raise two children mostly on her own and often sacrificing her own personal needs for her children. Mom could make $20 go a very long way!  

Thankfully she now has all she will ever need in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

My mother is the strongest woman I know. Despite the many challenges in her life, she loved to laugh and discover new things. Seeing her children and grandchildren happy and safe was a great comfort to her. She was a physically strong woman despite some health challenges. Different doctors, at different difficult times, remarked to me the same comments...."she has a strong heart, a beautiful heart!".
In the hardest of times, Mom figured a way to provide 3 meals a day, even if it meant eating chicken back 10 different ways.
I'll miss hearing her giggles at times like when she'd hear me talking to Sophia and Ava her grandkids and we'd be talking about uncomfortable things like boys etc. She loved to hear about Sophia and Ava's sassiness. She definitely loved to hear about their school experiences and their grades.
David and I will never forget the wonderful lessons she taught us, some easily and some not so easy. But we understand all now that we have our own kids and appreciate the sacrifices of love and discipline. They paid off!
