CAROLYN ANN ROBERTS GUIDRY, 53, passed away into God's arms peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday morning, November 26, 2011 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Port Arthur and raised in Groves, Texas, she was the second of four children of Harry and Mary Roberts. She moved to Fort Bend in 1981 and was a volunteer at her daughter's school and a girl scout leader for many years. She was active at St. Laurence Catholic Church where she was involved in teaching catechism and active with the Eucharistic Adoration for ten years.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her sister Deborah Roberts Henderson. She is survived by her parents, Mary and Harry Roberts of Groves, TX; her beloved husband of 32 years, Terry Guidry; her beautiful daughter, Leianne Guidry of Richmond, TX; and her brothers, Douglas Roberts of Cedar Park, TX, and Michael Roberts & wife Lori of Port Neches, TX. She is also survived by brother in law Jerry Guidry and wife Becky of Magnolia, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at St Laurence Catholic Church (3100 Sweetwater Boulevard, Sugar Land, TX 77479-2630) with a Rosary to be recited by Deacon Don Burns at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in the Chapel of The Divine Mercy at St. Laurence Catholic Church with the Reverend Drew Wood officiating. A graveside service will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77079. Following the burial will be a reception at Hilton Garden Inn 12245 Katy, Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

It saddens my heart so about Carolyn. I have known her for many years. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and we share many wonderful memories together. It is such a loss for us here on earth but such a great joy for our Lord Jesus Christ to welcome her in to Heaven. She is truly an angel. I am praying for all of her family for strength for God promises us healing.
