In Memory of
Carolyn Jean Hoffman

Carolyn J. Hoffman “CJ”, 63, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2020 at her home in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. CJ was born on October 3, 1956 and graduated in 1974 at Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. She received two Associate Degrees in Transcription from Houston Community College and Kaplan University and graduated with honors at both Universities. Most of all she leaves behind her most powerful and successful business, “The Typing Genie.”

She was the daughter of William Hoffman of Corpus Christie, Texas, and Ruth Frye (Kramer) of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.  She was preceded in death by her Stepfather, Thomas J. Frye who raised her. She is survived by her children, her son Jeremy Hoffman and his wife Jean, her daughter, Brandy Walker and her husband Dennis, and her son Joseph, all of Houston, Texas, in addition to her children, she is survived  by her brother, William Hoffman and his wife Judy of Middletown, Pennsylvania, sister, Tina Wible and her husband Louis of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, sister, Lisa Taylor and her husband Timothy of Hummelstown , Pennsylvania, and Thomas Frye Jr. of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. Six Grandchildren, Shauna Thompson, Branden Thompson, Joseph Hoffman Jr., Savana Hoffman, Jeremy Hoffman Jr. “JJ”, and Alexis Hoffman, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her canine companion, Daphne.

Carolyn was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan and a great fan of Crown College Women’s basketball. I can still remember to this day, her shouting at the T.V. when her favorite teams would play. Carolyn also loved her family and friends dearly and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service in Houston, Texas.

We would also like to especially thank everyone who has supported our family through this difficult time. Carolyn, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure; you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure!

Take the years away to when you were 15 years old and had that wonderful smile, eloquent eyes, and long black hair. You sat behind. S in c,ads and we spoke and laughed frequently. I thought I was a mature Christian until I learned who you were and you showed me the way that is Jesus. You did that as I left for high school seminary
At Corpus Christi Minor Seminary (jesuits) in Corpus Christi, Texas.
