
Charles Paul Drury passed away on March 22, 2016 in Houston, TX.
Charles (Charlie) was born in Angleton, TX on May 29, 1937 to Emil and Agnes Horky Drury. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1955. He served in the US Army and Texas National Guard. He retired from Shell Oil Company in the late 1990s. Charlie was very involved with his children and grandchildren and served as a volunteer assistant football coach at St. Ambrose for almost 40 years. He was
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Julia Eloise Williams Drury, and his parents; and is survived by his sons Jeffrey Alan Drury (Betty Ann), Gregory Paul Drury (Debbie) and Kevin Michael Drury (Catherine); his precious grandchildren: Christopher, Elizabeth, Audrey, Walker, Hunter, Emma, Sarah and Laura; his sister, Mary Ann Machac, and caretaker/sister-in-law, Mary Williams, as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Visitation and Rosary are Monday, March 28, 2016, with the visitation at 5:30 pm and the Rosary at 7 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4213 Mangum Road, Houston, TX 77092. The Funeral is on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM, also at St. Ambrose, with interment to follow at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Ave., Houston, TX 77007.

Charles (Charlie) was born in Angleton, TX on May 29, 1937 to Emil and Agnes Horky Drury. He graduated from Angleton High School in 1955. He served in the US Army and Texas National Guard. He retired from Shell Oil Company in the late 1990s. Charlie was very involved with his children and grandchildren and served as a volunteer assistant football coach at St. Ambrose for almost 40 years. He was
also a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus fraternal service organization. Charlie loved to be very active and, in retirement, continued walking multiple miles each day, participating in volunteer activities and refereeing high school football games.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Julia Eloise Williams Drury, and his parents; and is survived by his sons Jeffrey Alan Drury (Betty Ann), Gregory Paul Drury (Debbie) and Kevin Michael Drury (Catherine); his precious grandchildren: Christopher, Elizabeth, Audrey, Walker, Hunter, Emma, Sarah and Laura; his sister, Mary Ann Machac, and caretaker/sister-in-law, Mary Williams, as well as many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
