In Memory of
Glen Stewart Brock
-

Glen Stewart Brock, 49, of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. He was born on March 13, 1962 to Frank Lester and Jacquelyn Ann Brock in San Francisco, California with both parents serving in the United States Air Force. Glen graduated from Mount Carmel High School in San Diego, California. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy and served honorably for his country for nine years and eleven months. He was aboard nuclear submarines USS Lapon (SSN-661) and USS Parche (SSN-683), and later served as a naval police officer at Alameda Naval Air Station in Alameda, California. After being discharged from active duty, Glen began working for Chubb Corporation in San Francisco. He was later transferred to the Houston area in 1993, where he lived with his family since.

Glen met his wife, Sande, in elementary school and though he moved frequently during his childhood, he reunited with her in Alameda when he was stationed in the Bay Area. They were married on October 10, 1987 and shared a very special twenty-three years together. In the nineties they welcomed two children to this world: Alexander Stewart and Kirsten Ruth, who were his pride and joy.

Glen was highly interested in warships, military history, automobiles, and wartime firearms. He always enjoyed sharing his wealth of knowledge with family and friends. He was a fun-loving man who enjoyed working on cars and even just spending time outside with the neighbors.

Glen will be missed very much by his family and his many friends. He is survived by his wife, Sande; son, Alexander; daughter, Kirsten; parents, Frank and Jacquelyn Brock of Brunswick, GA; brother, Ted Brock and wife Dorota of Brunswick, GA; brother, Kelly Brock of Austin, TX; father- and mother-in-law, Warren and Patricia Storm of Alameda, CA; sister-in-law, Nancy Landreth and husband Michael of Alameda, CA; nieces, Kristina and Julia Landreth also of Alameda, CA; and additional relatives and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions payable to the “Glen Brock Memorial Education Fund” for Alexander and Kirsten. Please mail checks to:

Alex is like family to us here so this is also a great loss for us all even though we did not have the opportunity to meet Mr. Glenn Brock.
