Marrion Bob Jones, 88, was born in Chattanooga Tennessee on December 24, 1935 and left this earth on May 5, 2024. He was raised by his maternal grandmother in Birchwood, Ootlewah Tennessee. He got married and moved to Houston, Texas. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mona Eileena Griffith Jones, together they had five children. Bob Jones owned and operated a successful roofing for over 45 years and was well known in the Houston area. After retiring Bob and Mona traveled all over the United States going to knife shows and selling collectible knives. They made many lifetime friends and treasured those trips together. Bob loved music his entire life and was a singer and musician, he could play the guitar and keyboard and sang; many times playing in local bands in Houston when he was younger. Survivors include daughters, Bobbie K. Hill and Mona D. Jones, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives, friends and acquaintances.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery at 11am.
